Revenge Motive:("John Wick" follows the action genre convention of a protagonist driven by revenge. The death of John Wick's dog, In my film there will be a revenge motive due to a certain action happening that affects the main character)
Skilled and Lethal Protagonist: The film features a highly skilled and lethal protagonist, In my film the protagonist will be skilled at what they do through the scene)
Elements of the Genre in "John Wick" that I Like:
Fluid and Realistic Action:(A notable feature of "John Wick" is its realistic and skillfully staged action scenes. The action scenes are made more authentic by the film's dedication to real effects and Keanu Reeves' ability to pull off many of his own stunts.)
Visual Style: ("John Wick" is visually striking, with a distinctive color palette and cinematography. The film's stylish and sleek presentation adds an aesthetic layer to the action genre.)
Elements of the Genre in "John Wick" that Did Not Appeal to Me:
Thin Plot Motivation: (While the revenge motive is a common convention, I feel like the motivation of the plot was very thin and not that appealing and could of properly been worked on better.)
Limited Character Development: The film prioritizes action over character development, which I understand that usually happens in the action genre. While I think John Wick is a good character, some of the characters in the film really do lack development
