Hello it is Gabriel here back with another production blog. the last few blogs I talked about how I would film my video around the neighborhood and the main place I wanted to film at which was the park. Now I will be talking about the editing process which my group mate is doing. Even though he is editing I am also helping with the editing process. With the editing style I want to go with a calm video I do not want to incorporate any flashing lights or things of that nature I want to keep it simple. I will first make sure that none of my clips are corrupt so that way I would not have to re film parts of my video. So I will probably star with an intro which will be a black screen with the title of the video and all the people involved in the video will be credited at the start. After the first clip I will mainly be using jump cuts. Keep in mind I am only talking about how the first scene was edited. As I said I will make sure to remove any outside audio from the original film so that w

Hello it is me Gabriel and I am back for another Production blog. Last Blog I discussed the start of recording my music video where I have recorded the first scene where I was using multiple shot angels to capture me heading towards my said destination. I used multiple angels to capture my first scene. I also made sure to remove any audio from the recording. I plan on using no ambience sound just the sound from the song. Now that I have recapped for what I have done last blog, here is what will happen this blog. Since I am at a difference place way closer to the park I am finishing up the shots, I will add some medium to long shots and eventually when I reach the park I will incorporate an establishing shot of the park before I cut into me being in the park. Then I will use a wide shot of me walking into the park and cut into me playing sports at the park with some tracking shots. The segment involving sports activities within the park promises to be vibrant and engaging. Utilizing tr

Hello, it is me Gabriel here again back with another blog. In the first blog, I discussed my initial plan on where to film my blog. However, on the second blog, some things changed and now I have decided to change my film location a little bit. Since I discussed where I will be filming I am now going to discuss how I filmed the first section of my video. It's also worth noting that I was in full costume and had all my props ready during these takes I wanted to make sure that every aspect of my appearance and the items I used in the video were describing the plot of the video I was recording. Since I had my phone as a quality recorder I already said that I would be using my phone to tape every shot. So I first had my recorder set up the shot of me walking down the neighborhood it was a wide shot to show the path of me heading to the said location. One important detail I paid attention to was sound. I made sure to mute the audio during these wide shots because I wanted to have compl

Hello its me Gabriel and I am back for another production blog. Today however something different has happened I am not working with my partner anymore but I will still pursue my music video. Nothing has really changed I wont change my editing software or anything like that. But I will be using my backup plan. Which is going to the park and I will change up a bit of the story. However for production as of now is choosing the best park and area to record most of the video, I am thinking of recording it by the same park that I discussed last blog however I am also thinking of maybe going to a different park to record other parts of my video just to make sure I have extra clips if anything goes down. I will probably record a segment near the park and by my house. I have to make sure that the goals are unlocked for the place I will be going to at the park. I want to also make sure the other park is the same situation. Even if I   wanted to record at the gym it would be hard to get videos

Hello it is me Gabriel and this is the beginning of my production of my music video.I know from last time I had to research editing software's cause I did not know how I would edit my music video. Since I now have a partner that knows how to do it, I can focus on another topic. Instead of finding out editing software's I am looking at cameras and places I can record the music video for. Lets start with the cameras I am looking for. I am aiming to maybe use just a phone to record as it has decent quality and can basically capture the look I are looking for my video. Maybe I would try and use a more professional camera but I would either have to purchase it or borrow the camera from someone which i do not know if I would have the time to make sure the clips look good before I send them to my phone, and if there is like any corruption between the clips I would have to record again so I honestly think I will stick with my phone. The thing is I will have to clear storage for all th

Storyboard

The First picture is an establishing shot of the video, it shows the actor walking down the street to the locations, the actor will have a gym bag as a prop and gym clothes as costumes The second picture is a wide shot that shows the location which is the gym, the actor evantually walks into the said gym The third picture is an over-the-shoulder shot showing the gym equipment and the other part of the gym, the actor will evantually start working out The fourth picture is a medium long shot of the actor  working on the equipment making sure they at least get enough time to make it seem like they are actually putting in work at the gym for the music video The fifth shot is a medium shot of the actor using another piece of equipment while struggling they are conveying that they are pushing their limits to get the weights up The sixth shot is another medium shot of the actor finishing his bench and it shows him succesfully working out at the gym which completes this storyboard.

Props: - For My Music Video We will be using props such as weights for lifting in the gym and certain gym products like drinks and certain equipment that are used in a gym setting Costumes: - For Our Music Video our costumes would be clothes that people wear in the gym such as nylon clothes and active wear that really makes it seem like you are really in the gym Locations: - We will mainly be filming in the GYM but mainly in other places to show the journey on the way to the gym so the focus of the video is not strictly the gym Schedule: - We will probably start Recording our clips in the next couple of weeks and hopefully by the end of October we would be editing our clips around the beginning of November so we can have time to review it before we submit our commercial. Backup Plan : - Just In case we cannot go to the gym we will probably film in other locations around the city such as the park where we can switch up the story a bit and find a way to still make the music video to w

Who are you working with. I have decided to work with 2 other people. Their names are Blake Dashnaw and Jake Delnegri. They are both in my 5th period for AICE media Studies. I have decided to not use people from other periods. Why are you working them. I will go over each person one by one. I wanted to work with Blake because he is good with editing software's. For my last project instead of using adobe products since I am not really good with them I decided to use a free editor Davinci resolve. He is a professional with Adobe software and I realized that is something we need if we are going to create a group, an editor. I also chose Jake because he will be a good asset for performing in the music video or if we need someone to record the video. Making a music video with only two people would be harder so having an extra person is more essential. What is the song you are choosing. Well as a group we have not fully decided a song we will be using. We have been discussing a couple
