Production Blog #4
Hey guys welcome back to another blog. Today lance and I began the filming for our project. We began by filming all of the scenes that take place during the day. It just makes more sense that way. First we went to downtown Fort Lauderdale to film the scenes where the hit man is on the phone. These scenes were easy to film because it was mostly dialogue and in this scene I could be able to use certain mannerisms and make sure my dialogue was perfect for the scene . Then we shot the scenes where the police are present. This went smoothly because we were in a relatively quiet neighborhood so we could work without interruptions. Lance was able to be the cop in the film as we had our friends act as the witness. It was very quick as well. Then came the indoor scenes at the house. This was definitely more challenging. We spent a lot of time figuring out the lighting. We wanted to create a mysterious and kind of unsuspecting vibe, you know? We had to decide between using the house lights or setting up our own, and it was a whole process! We tried different angles and light intensities. Do you guys think the house lighting or external lighting gives off a better vibe for mystery?Filming inside was also tricky because we had to be extra careful not to bump into anything or trip. Imagine trying to film a chase scene and accidentally knocking over a lamp! Haha! The hardest part by far was filming the hitman hiding just barely in the frame. Since we're using camera audio, we couldn't talk or give cues during the takes. Getting the timing and positioning right was really tough. We had to do a lot of takes to make sure it looked perfect. We also had to be very quiet, so no one would make noises while we were filming. That challenge really came into play during the action sequences. Not being able to give cues meant we had to rehearse everything super carefully. We practiced the movements and timing over and over until we felt confident. It was a lot of work, but it paid off!We finished the first part of filming, and we're so excited to move on to the next phase. I can't wait to share more about it with you guys. What do you think we will be filming next? Any guesses? Stay tuned for the next blog!"
